1. Controller

The controller for the processing of personal data on regenrechner.de is:

Felix van Musschenbroek
trading as “PMC Juridisch Advies”

1250 AC Laren
Netherlands

Email: info@regenrechner.de

Regenrechner is a service of this sole proprietorship.

2. Visiting the website and technical logs

When you visit our website, the hosting services we use process technical connection data. This includes the IP address, the date and time of the request, the address requested and information about the browser used.

We use this data to deliver the website, to keep it working and secure, and to investigate technical errors or misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is a reliable and secure website.

The technical logs are managed by our hosting service Lovable and deleted according to its deletion periods. We only access them in the event of technical errors or security incidents.

In the event of a specific security incident, the log data needed for it may be kept separately until the necessary investigation and any necessary legal action are complete.

3. Free calculator

The calculation runs in your browser. The area and drainage details you enter in the calculator are not sent to us and are not stored by us.

If, after the calculation, you click “Request a free area comparison”, we put the town, roof area and paved area into the address of the request form so that you do not have to type these figures again. These three details may then appear in the technical logs described in section 2.

If you then request an area comparison report, we process the details you send in the request form.

4. Requesting and preparing a free area comparison report

When you request an area comparison report, we process your name, your email address, the town, street, house number and postcode of the property, your details on roof and paved areas, drainage, surfaces, cistern and green roof, and the language of the form. If you choose to upload documents, we also process those.

We need these details to handle your request, carry out an accepted order, measure and compare areas, prepare example calculations, ask follow-up questions and send you the report by email. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

We need the details marked as required in the form for this work. Without the information required for your case, we cannot prepare a reliable report. Uploading a notice is optional. You can also enter the details in the form fields.

Please upload only the parts needed for the area comparison. In particular, black out bank details, signatures, access codes, QR codes, file numbers we do not need, and names and other details of people not involved. Avoid documents containing health data or other particularly sensitive information.

We do not use your order data for advertising and we do not pass your request or your report to your town or to hanseWasser. You decide yourself whether and what information you send to them.

5. Aerial photos and other data sources

For our work we use official, publicly available aerial photos. We relate the visible areas to the property you named. From them we record the information needed for the area comparison you requested.

The data sources are the digital orthophotos of the Landesamt GeoInformation Bremen (for Bremen) and of the Landesamt für Vermessung und Geoinformation Schleswig-Holstein (for Reinbek). For other places, we name the official source in the report.

The specific source and the image date are stated in the report. The legal basis for the necessary processing of your property data is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Support from artificial intelligence

For help with wording or arithmetic, we use the AI service Claude by Anthropic. We only send this service details from which neither you nor your property can be identified. In particular, we do not send names, addresses, coordinates, file numbers or identifiable documents. Felix van Musschenbroek checks the report himself before it is sent. There is no solely automated decision with legal or similarly significant effect. In particular, our report does not decide whether you have to pay a fee.

7. Hosting, storage and email

Lovable runs our website, the database and the file storage. For the database and file storage, Lovable uses the Supabase service. We use Google Workspace to handle and send emails.

The following service providers and subcontractors are involved in processing for our service:

Within our business, access to order data is limited to Felix van Musschenbroek. Technical service providers may process data as part of their tasks.

The domain is registered with Hostnet. Hostnet does not receive form details or uploaded documents.

8. Processing outside the European Economic Area

The database and file storage of our service are located in the USA. Lovable and Google may also process data in the USA.

For transfers from the European Economic Area, Lovable’s privacy policy names the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, Art. 46 GDPR). For Google Workspace, the transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) where the recipient is certified, and otherwise on the standard contractual clauses in Google’s Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

We do not send personal data to the AI service described in section 6.

You can obtain more information on these safeguards at info@regenrechner.de.

9. Retention and deletion

We store personal data only for as long as it is needed for the stated purposes or a legal obligation.

Where certain data remains necessary to establish, exercise or defend specific legal claims, we store it separately and with restricted access for that purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protecting our rights.

Where statutory retention obligations apply, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. We do not issue invoices for free reports.

When the purpose or the relevant period ends, we delete the data. Backup copies are overwritten according to the backup cycle; they are not used for ordinary further processing.

10. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, we process your contact details and the content of your message to deal with your request.

For a request about a specific order, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other requests, we rely on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in answering incoming requests.

We delete general requests not related to an order 6 months after the last message.

11. Cookies, analytics and fonts

We do not use cookies, analytics tools or tracking pixels on this website.

The Atkinson Hyperlegible font is delivered locally through the hosting infrastructure of our website. No connection to Google Fonts is made to load this font.

12. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right of access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability.

Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We then check whether we must stop the processing or whether compelling legitimate grounds, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, justify further processing.

Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. For the necessary work on your report, we rely on performance of the contract and not on blanket consent.

To exercise your rights, a message to info@regenrechner.de is enough. We generally answer within one month. If the legal conditions for an extension apply, we will let you know.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the place where you usually live, where you work or where an alleged infringement took place.
